The amount of power an engine can make is directly proportionate to the amount of air that can be drawn into cylinders. Therefore, increased air flow means increased power. Reducing the velocity increases the pressure (and therefore, the density) of the air (more molecules of air per cubic inch) increasing power.
The Power Charger, for TBI engines, works by unshrouding the area surrounding the injectors to increase airflow. The Power Charger's larger diameter provides a greater volume of air directly above the throttle bores yielding measurable gains in power and torque.
